Attendees from around the Kanawha Valley were able to dine on a plethora of wild proteins, including alligator, shark, rabbit, bison, antelope, crawdads and more. Seperately, on Wednesday, March 12, the Riverbend Boulevard crossing will be closed for the entire day. Officials said motorists should find alternative routes during the closures.

Officials with Kanawha County Emergency Management (KCEM) say this is a good time to focus on your safety. “As we spring forward, this is a good time to change the batteries in your smoke alarms,” officials wrote in a recent Facebook post. “While you change the batteries in your smoke alarms, create a fire escape plan with your family.” KCEM representatives will install smoke detectors for free in homes without them. Residents should call 304-357-0966 to schedule an installation.
