A traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial will visit St. Albans from June 25-29, 2026, giving residents an opportunity to honor those who served during the Vietnam War.

VFW Post 6418 will host The Moving Vietnam Memorial Wall at the former K-Mart parking lot on U.S. Route 60.

Known as The Moving Wall, the exhibit is a half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Since 1984, it has traveled across the country, allowing communities to remember and reflect on the sacrifices made by service members.

The memorial features more than 58,000 names displayed across 74 panels. Organizers said the exhibit gives many people a chance to experience the tribute closer to home.

VFW Post 6418 leaders said the event will provide a time for residents, veterans, families and visitors from across the region to come together and remember those who served and those who did not return home.

The organization is also seeking donations and sponsors to help support the event. Organizers said they are working on an opportunity for people to make donations in honor of veterans during the memorial's visit.

People interested in learning more about the event can contact Jerry Mollohan, commander of All America VFW Post 6418, by phone or text at 304-982-1309 or visit vfw6418.org.
