Residents will have an opportunity to comment on proposed utility projects, rate changes and up to $4.5 million in revenue bonds during a June 1 hearing.

T

he City of St. Albans will hold a public hearing next week to gather feedback on proposed ordinances tied to water and sewer system upgrades, as well as related rate changes and bond financing.

The hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, June 1, in the cafeteria at McKinley Recreation Center, 3000 Kanawha Terrace.

City officials said the hearing will focus on several proposed ordinances involving improvements to the city’s waterworks and sewerage systems. Another proposed ordinance would authorize the acquisition, construction and financing of certain waterworks and sewerage system improvements through the issuance of up to $4.5 million in bonds.

Residents and other interested individuals will have the opportunity to comment on the proposed ordinances during the hearing.

Copies of the ordinances are available for review at the Clerk’s Office, located at 1499 MacCorkle Ave.

Additional information, including public notices, proposed ordinance documents, bond-related materials, service maps and supporting documents, is available online.
