Here's what's happening this weekend around the Kanawha Valley.



T

he annual Celtic Calling festival has arrived in Charleston. With it comes music, dance, theater, sports, and other cultural programming celebrating Gaelic culture and heritage. But that's not the only thing going on this weekend around the Kanawha Valley. There's also a new fly fishing documentary premiering in South Charleston, the Winter Blues Farmers Market at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center, a FestivALL fundraiser at the University of Charleston, a Creole pop-up restaurant in St. Albans, and more. Here is a sampling of local happenings between Friday, Feb. 28, and Sunday, March 2, 2025.
